[Like any of them would choose to just up and abandon the Corps. Knowing what he does now, that she'd gone way back with Levi, joined the Corps with him, died in the line of duty... There's no way she'd just back out on him, right?]

[It could have been any one of them. Without warning. It's really frustrating.]

[That's pretty shitty good news, if Connie's honest. He's feeling sick again, but not for the same reason as before.]

[He'd only talked to her a few times, didn't know her nearly as well as he maybe ought to have, but she'd never struck him as someone who would up and leave without a word. No one in the Corps would.]

[He doesn't know that, but he believes it anyway. She wouldn't have left without saying anything if she had a choice. (She wouldn't have left at all.) It's hard to get the right amount of angry scorn across in text, but maybe Connie can imagine it. (If nothing else he's mashing his keys a little too hard.)]

Dagger sent out a message earlier. It wasn't just her.

[Connie could look it up if he wanted to see the damage. Whether or not it could happen again is still up in the air.]

[Connie would look it up if he were a) technologically competent enough to, and b) not feeling the sudden urge to throw up again. So instead he settles for - five minutes later, after puking yet again - asking Eren about the contents of Dagger's message.]

[Sorry, Connie. The rest isn't exactly good news, but it could be worse]

more than a dozen. no one else from the corps. the commander's out on some kind of mission, but everyone else is still accounted for.

[And that's as much as they can hope for. He would have said so sooner if the damage was any worse for them. He can't speak for Connie's acquaintances here, but there was no one else he'd known on the list outside of Isabel. It's agitating. Because it's not like they're dead, they've just been reassigned. But the CDC isn't like the military back home, they can't know where she's gone, or what she's doing. What's going on or when they'll see her again. If any of the rest of them would be next.]

[Connie breathes a sigh of relief at the message, despite the hefty number of supposed transfers. He's got a couple people he likes here, but his concern is for his squadmates first and foremost.

And because Connie's fairly simple-minded and unafraid to speak his mind, it's not a minute later that he sends the following message:]

do you think any of us are giong to get transferred next

we won't.

[He's not naive enough to think that if he just believes it hard enough, it'll work out that way. But he's not going to sit back and live in fear of it. They won't let it happen again. ...somehow.]

get your ass out of medical so you can catch up for good.
